I came across a great vertical garden at the ANZ building at Docklands in Melbourne. I have provided some close up photos so that you can see how it is constructed in case you want to build your own vertical garden.

The photo was taken about midday so you can see that the plants are in full shade

A vertical garden looks great against the timber and stainless steel

Here you can see the grouping of plants

Up close you can start to see the gaps appearing and the different panels

Plenty of variety of plants being used (someone, may like to help me name them all)

Up closer still, you can see that each row has shade cloth around it with holes cut out for each plant. Looks like a mix of inorganic and organic media. There is also a type of foam holding in each plant.

Each panel sits on a flute board on top of some reinforced steel.

Each row has a drip irrigation system running along it (each panel was very damp to touch)

At the bottom is the drip tray for recycling.
This vertical garden can be yours for about $3,000 per square metre.
