I came across a simple vertical garden from the landscape designers at Weetree. They build horizontal planters between fence posts giving a vertical garden effect called the Weetree Wall. Weetree is a Chicago-based landscape and design firm that focuses on balancing natural beauty and true function through a thoughtful and intelligent design approach.

They use a rain capture system to retain runoff rain from garage rooftops. They have three different examples of how the Weetree Wall can be used, Sun Wall, Shade Wall and Herb Wall
