Phyto Universe Living Wall
October 6th, 2010 | Posted by in LushePhyto Universe is an upmarket hair and beauty salon in Manhattan. A major feature of the building is a 2,850 square foot living wall installed by Laurent Corradi.
The living wall was made of an aluminiun frame with PVC sheets covered in felt on each side.
The vertical garden design includes 9,000 plants including philodendron, ponytail, hibiscus, ferns, anthurium, ficus and begonia. Irrigation of the plants is for one minute 3 times daily.

Phyto Universe doesn’t offer cuts or color, instead the focus is on scalp and hair. Therapies to remedy dandruff, dry strands, thinning manes and overly kinky locks cost $150 to $350. The price is probably worth it to see a green wall this good.
