“Live Within Skin” by Greenmeme
Freya Bardell and Brian Howe from Greenmeme, an art and design studio based in Los Angeles sent in their take on vertical gardens. Their projects cross the disciplines of art, architecture and landscape. Each one of these walls is custom and experimental in design.

The “Live Within Skin” is a modular vertical garden made through Computer Aided Design and a water jet cutting process to cut the steel. Live most vertical gardens, these walls can be pro-actively used to address issues of air quality, storm water runoff, thermal insulation, and sound attenuation.

Live Within Skin can serve both interior and exterior applications and may be adapted to most environmental conditions through plant selection, integrated irrigation, and lighting.

I live in Florida and wonder how this would go outside on a patio with some tables and chairs but instead of having the plants being just ornamental have some strawberry plants coming out, now that would be cool. They can grow in somewhat vertical situations and they send out little shoots that hang down. The berries would give color and be eatable as well. just a thought.
