Woolly Pocket Vertical Garden
September 1st, 2009 | Posted by in Lushe
Woolly Pockets are a simple modular system for creating indoor and outdoor vertical gardens. They are constructed out of a soft, felt-like material made out of recycled plastic bottles, the pockets can be hung and stacked to create space-saving vertical wall gardens, and the flat syle allows for a more traditional flexible plant container.
Woolly pocket vertical gardens are the brainchild of Sherry and Miguel from Marvimon and Smog Shoppe.
The material breathes, keeping roots healthy, and the Woolly Pockets come in an unlined version for the outdoors, and a lined version to keep indoor plants from leaking. Each pocketĀ retains moisture and wetness leaving your space clean.
The pockets allow quick and easy set up of a vertical garden but the disadvantage is that there are still gaps where the material has not been covered. Large drooping plants would be required to cover the material.
